Understanding Public Sector Capital Funding

Date and Time: September 18th from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

About this Event:

If you are considering purchasing or renovating a property, your organization may be considering applying for public sector funding. It is important to understand that most public sector funding comes with terms and conditions, such as long-term liens and future programmatic use restrictions, that can impact adaptability of your organization's real estate long-term. Join Denham Wolf's team members, Priya Ananthanathan, Director of Developments Services, and Ron Innocent, Managing Principal and Director of Project Management Services, to better understand these details and opportunities.

Speakers

Priya Ananthanathan

Priya is experienced in site development, bringing together private developers, nonprofit organizations, and local government. She holds technical expertise with city government procedures, such as building complex contracting structures, combining financing incentives within a project, and developer selection through an RFP process. Priya has a decade of experience guiding nonprofits through acquisition, renovation, and new construction projects in parallel with the public financing approvals process. Before joining Denham Wolf, Priya was a vice president of the funding team at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYC EDC).

Ron Innocent

Ron's expertise and commitment to managing the build-out of community-driven projects are exemplified by his work with the Community Healthcare Network and Osborne Fulton Re-entry. These projects represent major reconstruction of existing underperforming facilities that were re-envisioned to bring critical healthcare services and housing to the communities they serve, and doing so by bringing together public funding and private investments. Ron's project portfolio also includes the CCCADI Firehouse in East Harlem and strategic improvements for the post pandemic reopening of the Symphony Space theater on the Upper West Side.
